ORGANISATIONAL HISTORY

Koinonia (Greek word for "fellowship") was established in 1993, prior to the heralding in of a new political and economic era in South Africa. The organisation operates from Paarl in the Western Cape, with a national association based servicing youth at different levels in society.

The organisation has gone through different developmental phases and has been bold in embracing change.

Koinonia
can be defined as a community based social enterprise that offers training, advice and opportunities to specifically but not exclusively youth.

  • Training- Capacity building of youth and organizations for sustainable livelihood

  • Advice- Information dissemination, guidance and career counseling

  • Opportunities- Through advocacy and policy development we are opening up opportunities for youth with and through our strategic partners.
